Mobile-Friendliness Used as Ranking Signal on Mobile Searches

Mobile-Friendliness

We all know how important it is to get good, relevant answers when you execute a search. The results shouldn’t be hindered depending on what device you’re using. You should get the best answer possible, whether you’re on a phone, desktop or tablet.

Mobile is critical to your business and will continue to be so – whether you’re blogging about your favorite restaurant, working on the website for your local nonprofit, or selling products to potential clients. Make sure visitors can have a good experience on your site when they’re visiting from their mobile devices!

Google

Last year, Google started using mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal on mobile searches. They announced last month that beginning this month, May 2016, they are rolling out an update to that which will increase the effect of the ranking signal to assist Google search users in finding more pages that are relevant and mobile-friendly.

If you took their queue last year and made your site mobile-friendly, Congratulations, this will not impact you. If you didn’t and haven’t taken the Google Mobile-Friendly Test, do it now!
