FAQs

How does the monthly time work?

We reserve time every month for each client. In this way, when you submit a work request we are able to give it our full attention. Because we allocate resources and set time aside for you each month, it does not rollover.

What can support time be used for?

Content updates, such as adding a blog post you’ve written or making changes to the home page banner are common requests but support time can be used for any task that can be accomplished inside of your allotted time.

For tasks such as adding plugins and creating new forms (for online registration, for example) that take longer, additional time may be required.

What if I need more time?

Most clients find that the alloted time is sufficient to address their needs month-to-month. But sometimes they’ve got something big cooking and need a bit more support.

In those cases, we review the request and provide a quote for the work to be done. In some cases – after speaking with the client – we complete the work and add the overage to the next regular invoice. In other cases we create a scope and budget and complete the work as agreed upon. In either case, we discuss the options with you and create a plan together.

What gets done during the monthly marketing meeting?

Many clients use our monthly marketing sessions to review site analyics and get feedback based on their results. Often, clients want a reality-check on something they’ve read or additional training on some aspect of their website.

What we focus on during this time is completely up to you. Not to worry however, we’ll have ideas too!

What if my site is hacked?

The point of keeping everything up-to-date and monitoring the site regularly is to avoid problems. However, stuff happens and occasionally malware sneaks in. If that happens, we will clean up the site and get you back up and running free of charge.

What if WMC didn’t build my website?

If you’d like us to take over the hosting of your website, we can migrate any WordPress website to our Hosting & Optimization plan free of charge. If you’re happy with your current host, we can work with you on our Webmaster Plan.

In either case, we would first do an evaluation to see how the site is built and get a sense of any issues that might crop up. As part of this evaluation, we will make a list of recommendations for improvements and review them with you and develop a plan for transitioning to whichever Care Plan is right for you.
